Avenir Bold’s (AB) client partner the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau was honored with five awards at the North Carolina Tourism Leadership Conference held in Charlotte. The conference is hosted by the N.C. Travel Industry Association (NCTIA).
Among the list of awards was a Gold in the Convention Marketing category for their “Jump Back In” planner-targeted campaign created and produced by AB. As GRCVB’s Agency of Record, the agency provided the marketing, creative and media strategies for the campaign as well as creative execution and media placement, monitoring and reporting.
“While earning results in terms of more visitation and visitor spending for Wake County is the biggest reward from GRCVB’s work each year, it’s also rewarding to receive destination marketing honors like these in statewide judging,” says Jonathan Freeze, Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
“I believe it also reassures our many local stakeholders and hospitality partners that there’s an award-winning team assembled at GRCVB (including the agency/vendor extensions to our staff) continuing to innovate beyond what’s standard for CVBs statewide.”
GRCVB also claimed the following awards:
-
- Platinum in the Convention Marketing category for our implementation of SendSites for bid books and proposals
-
- Platinum in the Group Marketing category for a series of aerial videos of major sports venues produced last fiscal year
-
- Platinum in the Community Relations category for the first edition of ETA Wake County: Insights from real-time visitor arrival data (new publication based on Arrivalist data delivered to local stakeholders)
-
- Best Innovation Award (out of all the entries submitted this year) for that new publication
